We are passing through the most difficult times of our history - therefore every Pakistani should understand the gravity of the situation, events that have led us to this state and the movers behind our miseries. Our war is not with the Taliban, but mercenaries and hired assassins who under the garb of Taliban are out there to destabilize Pakistan on the behest of hands now very clearly exposed.
I agree about remarks of SEATO/CENTO and abandonment by the US many times when we needed support.
However I disagree about Kashmir being an important issue with OIC as this organization only focuses on Palestine and only provides a lip service to Kashmir issue as most of the members of OIC have strong trade ties with India and would not like to intimidate the latter on Kashmir.

Let’s face it, we are at war. The ridiculous arguments about the terrorists only targeting government establishments, or it is the West’s war, it’s a Jihad against infidels, etc, were blown to smithereens last Wednesday afternoon in Peshawar’s Meena Bazaar. The powerful car bomb, which ripped through the thickly-congested market place — a favourite shopping area of lower and middle class families in particular — showed that it is a war with terrorists standing on one side of the blood line, and we the people on the other.
